Itinerary: Casablanca to Merzouga 6 Days Tour
Day 1: Casablanca – Fes
Your adventure begins when our driver picks you up from your hotel or riad in Casablanca at 8:00 a.m. Then, we’ll drive toward Fes, the cultural heart of Morocco.
Upon arrival, you’ll check into your accommodation before starting a short walking tour through the ancient Medina and colorful souks.
Afterward, you’ll have free time to relax and enjoy Moroccan hospitality. Finally, spend the night in a traditional riad or hotel in Fes.
Day 2: Fes City Tour
After breakfast, your local guide will meet you to start a full-day discovery of Fes. First, we’ll visit the Royal Palace and the Bab Boujloud Gate. Next, we’ll explore the Jewish Quarter (Mellah) and the University of Al Quaraouine, the oldest university in Africa.
Then, we’ll stop at the Tanneries, the Attarine Museum, and the Mausoleum of Moulay Idriss. After lunch, we’ll visit a ceramic cooperative and, finally, enjoy a panoramic view of the Medina.
At the end of the day, return to your riad for dinner and overnight stay.
Day 3: Fes – Ifrane – Azrou Forest – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Desert
After breakfast, we’ll continue our journey toward the Merzouga Desert. Along the way, we’ll pass through Ifrane, often called the Switzerland of Morocco due to its European-style architecture.
Then, we’ll stop in the Cedar Forest of Azrou to see the wild monkeys. Later, we’ll drive through the Ziz Valley, where you’ll admire beautiful palm groves and mountain views.
After that, we’ll visit Erfoud, a town famous for its fossils, before arriving at the Erg Chebbi dunes in Merzouga.
Here, you’ll meet your camel guide for an unforgettable camel trek to the desert camp. During the ride, enjoy the stunning sunset over the dunes.
In the evening, you’ll be welcomed with traditional mint tea, followed by dinner and Berber music. Finally, spend the night in a luxury desert camp under a sky full of stars.
Day 4: Merzouga – Rissani – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Early in the morning, wake up to witness a magical sunrise. After breakfast, we’ll drive to Rissani, the first imperial city of Morocco, where you can visit its traditional market.
Next, we’ll head to the spectacular Todra Gorges, famous for its dramatic rock formations. Then, continue toward the Dades Valley, where you’ll have dinner and spend the night in a comfortable riad or hotel overlooking the gorges.
Day 5: Dades Gorges – Ouarzazate – Ait Ben Haddou – Marrakech
After breakfast, we’ll leave the Dades Valley and drive through the Valley of Roses and the Skoura Palm Grove.
Soon after, we’ll arrive in Ouarzazate, also known as the Hollywood of Africa. We’ll visit the famous Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou, a UNESCO World Heritage Site featured in many films such as Gladiator and Game of Thrones.
Then, we’ll cross the scenic High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi n’Tichka Pass (2,260 m). During the journey, we’ll stop for photos of Berber villages and panoramic landscapes.
Finally, we’ll reach Marrakech in the evening, where you’ll rest for the night in a cozy riad or hotel.
Day 6: Marrakech – Casablanca
After breakfast, enjoy some free time in Marrakech before our transfer to Casablanca Airport. Thus, your 6 Days Desert Tour from Casablanca to Merzouga comes to an end — but the memories will last forever.
